Common questions
What counts as a workstream?
A workstream is a focused workspace for a project, client, initiative, or ongoing area of work. Each workstream has its own chat history, artifacts, documents, commitments, and memory. The free tier includes 3 active workstreams — you can archive old ones to stay within the limit.
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. The free tier requires no payment information. Enter a card only when you're ready to upgrade.
What happens if I hit a limit on the free tier?
Vayla will let you know when you're approaching a limit. You can archive workstreams to free up slots, or upgrade to Pro or Team to unlock higher caps.
What are 'file uploads' used for?
You can upload meeting transcripts, documents, PDFs, and notes. Vayla reads and processes them — extracting summaries, decisions, and commitments — and can reference the content in future conversations.
Is Vayla right for non-technical businesses?
Yes. Vayla is designed for anyone running complex work, not just tech teams. Consultants, nonprofit directors, agency owners, government program managers, and small business operators all use the same product. No technical knowledge required.
What's coming in future versions?
Video analyst sessions are in active development for paid tiers. Research engine (Vayla pulling in external sources), expanded document types, and team collaboration features are next.
